Warranty and Maintenance Policy (Qofl Plus Store)

 

This policy outlines the terms and conditions of warranty and maintenance for locks covered by warranty at Qofl Plus Store. The store is committed to protecting customer rights and clarifying responsibilities.

 

1. Warranty Duration and Coverage

  • The warranty is valid for 24 months from the date of purchase.
  • The original purchase invoice issued by the store must be presented to benefit from the warranty.
  • The warranty covers the product itself only and does not include accessories or services not specified in this policy.
  • The warranty applies only to the first owner and is non-transferable.

 

2. What the Warranty Covers

  • Manufacturing defects and errors.
  • Malfunctions resulting from defects in materials or production.
  • Issues that occur during normal use according to the user manual and approved operating instructions.

 

3. What the Warranty Does NOT Cover

  • Misuse or negligence.
  • Breakage or damage caused by impact or tampering.
  • Failure to follow operating instructions or usage guidelines.
  • Installation, maintenance, or modification by unauthorized parties.
  • Using incompatible accessories or components.
  • Exposure to water or moisture if the product is not designed for it.
  • Malfunctions caused by weak or disconnected internet or app issues.
  • Battery depletion or failure to replace batteries on time.
  • Tampering with settings or attempting self-repair.
  • Lock or door breakage due to battery depletion or failure to use emergency access methods.
  • Damage caused by external factors or force majeure.

 

4. Batteries and Emergency Measures

“Any damage resulting from battery depletion or lock breakage due to low battery is not considered a manufacturing defect and is not covered by the warranty.”

Smart locks rely on batteries as their primary power source.
Customers must monitor low-battery alerts and replace batteries promptly.

It is recommended to always keep:

  • Spare batteries
  • An emergency unlocking method (if available)
  • A power bank when needed

 

5. Maintenance and Replacement Timeframe

  • Product maintenance may take up to 14 business days, depending on the issue and parts availability.
  • The customer is not entitled to request a replacement as long as repair is possible within this period.
  • The customer may request a one-time replacement during the warranty period if:
  • The product cannot be repaired, or
  • The repair period exceeds the specified timeframe.

If the issue reoccurs after replacement:

  • The remaining warranty period will be applied,
  • Or the product value may be refunded proportionally based on the remaining warranty, at the store’s discretion.

 

6. Warranty Liability Limits

The store’s responsibility under this policy is limited to repairing or replacing the product only.

The warranty does not cover any compensation for:

  • Loss of use
  • Direct or indirect losses
  • Consequential damages

The store’s liability does not exceed the product’s value.

 

7. General Provisions

  • Qofl Plus Store reserves the right to modify this policy at any time.
  • Continued use of the products or store services implies acceptance of these policies.
  • This policy is governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
